Adding to My Mic Collection: DJI Mic Mini Kit Unboxing & First Impressions

You know what I was thinking, I need another Wireless mic. I mean, I already have some mics. But, you know Audio is the best for a video. Let me explain what I picked up.

Great Audio

If you are filming vlogs, conducting interviews, live streaming, or using a drone. So microphones do count. I mean, I am a good-looking person.

But that can’t help if my audio is bad. People will click away faster than the New York Minute. So what did I pick up? I mean, I already have the following:

• Shotgun mic
• DJI microphone original
• DJI mic mini (just the transmitter)

What else do I need?

Picked up

I picked up a DJI mini mic with a receiver.

Yep!!

This came with the following:

• One transmitter
• One Receiver
• One pouch to carry stuff in
• A dual charging cable
• A charging dock

The dual charging cable is quite nice.

Why

I was browsing Amazon, I mean, why not, and I saw that this was like $59 dollars. It is usually about $100, so I thought about just getting it.

I mean, that is how much I paid for my single-transmitter mic mini when I got it. I could have just gotten a second mic mini for $25. But I thought I could use this with my

• iPhone
• DSL Camera, the Canon
• My Osmo Action 4

So it does have its uses.

Really

Yes, I really picked one up. I know I have the Mini mic, and it’s great. But this one just adds to the one I already have.

Both will pair with the receiver, so I can have two people talk on camera. I mean, I could have done this with the original DJI mic, but these are a bit smaller.

I can have one in my bag and one at home. Since they will Bluetooth to the Osmo Action 4 and to my iPhone, only if I am using a third-party app.

But the receiver will allow two mics to connect to my Osmo Action 4.

I hear the Osmo Action 6 can connect up to 4 microphones and pair 2 devices via Bluetooth. But I will have to work with my Osmo Action 4.

Thoughts

The package was a good pick up. Now I don’t have to use my Canon’s original mic anymore. Which is nice, but the original has a spot for the lav mic. Where the mic mini’s don’t. But I got it for a purpose, and it will serve that purpose well.

Now I have a backup in case one of them dies. Well, that is if I have both of them with me.
