So I thought I about this after I posted the post about phones, I touched a little bit about landline phones. But what really is a landline phone and what does it have to do with gadgeting.
Well, it has a lot to do with gadgeting as it inspires people to push people to make movements in technology.
In 1774, Georges-Louis Le Sage had separate wires for each of the 26 letters of the alphabet and it was only between two rooms of his home.
If you look at this way, it moved from the telegraph to the telephone, to the cordless phone, to the cell phones, sat phones and what will they think of next.
Connecting the world
In order for us to talk to someone in Europe via Telephone, we had to have a cable ran over there. Here is a video talking about that. It is quite interesting.
This was done in 1959, the video explains how they connected the Old World (Europe) to the New World (North America).
The video above just laid the groundwork of the future of laying cable. Now there is cable all over the place. Most of it is the fiber of this thing called the internet.
