In the era of smartwatches, smartphones, you know that it was only time, that they would push out the option from paying from your phone or watch. Yes, you heard me right, paying for things without ripping out your wallet. Are we living in the era of the Jetson’s (for those that don’t know Google Jetson’s. I dare you)
What is this
Mobile payment is an alternative payment method. Instead of paying with cash, check, or credit cards, a consumer can use a mobile phone to pay for a whole wide range of services and digital or hard goods such as:
- Movies
- Food
- etc…
Mobile Payments are here are they useful? We will find it outright. Back on Nov 11, 2014, there was an article in the computer world about mobile payment options. Which included the following:
- Apple Pay
- Still around
- Google Wallet
- Nope went to something else
- Softcard
- What is this?
- CurrentC
- Really, who uses this?
- Walmart Pay
- Where you have an OCR code you can scan to pay (really)
I didn’t really want to jump into Wikipedia and use that information. You can search for this if you want. But that wouldn’t be useful, it wouldn’t really be informational for you. But over the next few posts I will be covering the following options:
- Android pay
- Apple pay
- Samsung Pay
So come back and look at what my opinions are about the options we have out there and if we can use them.
