My audio for my YouTube or Vimeo channel has been OK. But I have just upped my audio game this year.
Past Audio
In the past, I have been using a mini shotgun mic or a Lavier mic. They have been helpful but not very useful when I am out and about. These were just a pain in the butt. So I had to do something.
Future Audio
I was thinking of getting the following:
But I wasn’t sold on that one. I was close to buying it, but then something got my eye. It was the following:
However, it sat on my wish list at Amazon for a while. Until my wife said buy yourself something for your birthday, I immediately ordered that. The $329.00 price was worth it to me. But it wasn’t what my wife was thinking.
DJI Mic
This package includes the following:
- One carrying case
- 1 Receiver
- 2 Transmitter
- Two windscreens
- 1 USB C to USB A cable
- 1 Audio cable
- 1 Carrying Bag
- 2 Magents to fit on the back of the transmitter to fix to the clothes
- One clip to clip on the transmitter to the hot shoe
- 1 USB C adapter
- Won’t work on iPad or Osmo Action 1, or Osmo Pocket 1
- 1 Lighting adapter
Why
The ability to have your mic hook up to your camera and transfer the audio over when the SD card is connected to your computer—the ability to have a safety track on the transmitters. You can charge them via the USB C cable or the carrying case.
Plus, they are sleeker, and I like that option. I don’t know; I just thought this would fit me well. I can place (not throw) them in my backpack or whatever I am carrying that day. It makes it pleasant. I like them.

Yep, I did one. Here it is.
