I have been trying to figure out the best car mount. Let’s go thru the ones I have.
Why
The first thing you might ask yourself. Why does he need a car mount? Well, to put my action camera on my dash. Why would you do that? Well, for the following reasons
- Record vlogs
- I might do this in the car
- Record idiot drivers
- To protect myself with video
Which ones
I have picked up the following car mounts to help me vlog from my vehicle.
I got this one, and I wouldn’t say I liked it at all.
I picked this one up because it said it was compatible with the Osmo pocket. It was a pain in the butt to mount the pocket too.
It didn’t stick very well.
PGYTECh suction cup mount
I mostly use the OSMO action on it.
However, it kept on falling off the windshield, and that is when I started to look at others.
Karuizi 360 rotating
I picked this one since I thought it would be the best for what I want to use it for (I forgot to take a picture before I mounted it).

Thoughts
The suction cup from PGYTECH is a mobile one. Meaning I can move it from one car to the other. So it is excellent. However, it had a problem with sticking to the windshield. But it was an easy thing to fix. But I was looking to get something more durable.
That is why I picked up the Karuizi one. It was a pain in the butt to install with my big fingers. But it looks pretty good in the car. Wife doesn’t like it. But it isn’t in her car.
