Why Wind Screens are Essential for Perfect Audio on the Go

I have a Shure MVL Lavalier microphone, which makes doing videos pleasant and has good Audio. The microphone does come with a windscreen. However, if you lose that windscreen, well, then it sucks.

Wind Screen 

Yes, I did lose a wind screen while filming a video for my Traveling with Justin YouTube channel. I was like, well, things I shouldn’t put in writing. But it was a pain in the butt. I had a backup. But the Audio wouldn’t sound that good if I lost that backup windscreen.

Wind screens are all about helping reduce noise, like wind. So, they are a must.

I needed some new ones.

Finding wind screens that would fit my Shure Lav mic took me a while. I found these on B & H Photo and ordered a few packages.

I didn’t want to be stuck without a windscreen or the Audio, so I carry some wherever I go. If I lose one again, I won’t stress about it. 

Worth It

You will have to ask yourself if having a windscreen is worth it. For me, yes, I think they are worth it. They make the audio quality so much better.

You need wind screens when you go out and about. You never know about the wind.
