Monitor

I already have 3 monitors on my desk. Why would I need more? Well, that is a very good question.

Got the following

So I got this desk

When we moved. I have the following setup on it.

Those are my work monitors. I like the setup. But I needed something for my MacBook Pro.

LG

I was in Costco one day and I saw these Monitors

And they were only $214.49. So I picked one for me and one for my wife. Later on, my son went back and got 2 monitors for his desktop computer.

I like this monitor and it made it nice for me to have a second one. That is bigger than my 13″ inch MacBook Pro screen.

It is an LG Ultra Gear 32″ Class FHD Gaming Monitor

  • 1920 x 1080 Resolution
  • 165Hz Refresh Rate
  • 1ms Motion Blur Reduction
  • NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible with AMD Free Sync Premium
  • Display Port Cable included.

I don’t game on this monitor, I just use it for

  • Video Edit
    • iMovie
  • Email
    • Outlook
  • Web surfing
  • Is mostly personal stuff that only my MacBook can do.

Is one enough

I got thinking that is one monitor enough. Should I have 2 monitors? My wife said oh hell no! You don’t need two monitors. Be happy with what you got.

Now I have 2 monitors and it is nice. I have an Intel MacBook, so I can have 2 monitors supported, whereas the new M1 Apple chip only supports 1. Boo!

Good

Is it a good monitor? I have no complaints about it. My wife did. You can’t turn it vertical and that is how she likes her monitors and that is how I got 2 monitors. That story will be coming later.

I have only had a couple of issues with these monitors. They will go out once in a while and I will have to reboot the MacBook and then they connect again and show content on both screens.

I like this setup.
