I have had Everlights since June of 2021, and I posted about this earlier; you can find it here. Did I make a mistake?
Did I make a mistake?
That is a good question, something I ask myself all the time when things go bad. Continue reading to see if I made a mistake.
Four Years
I have loved the lights; I actually installed four plugs in the eaves of the house so a switch can control them. I thought this would be great for some Christmas lights.
I had that option growing up, and in the other house I built
But my wife said that we can get some lights, and I have to choose which company.
These have been great lights, and I have enjoyed them. The different light settings mean I can have great lighting no matter what time of year it is.
Issues
Over the last four years, I have had many problems with the lights. Half of them would work, and half wouldn’t work.
They came out and replaced a section of the lights where they split off

Thought that would fix the issue, but it hasn’t fixed it yet.
Here are some more issues I am seeing
- Different color lights
- Like green, yellow, or red on some of the LED lights
- Half are different colors or preset lights
- Half lights won’t turn on
- Half lights won’t turn off
I am not sure whether this is common.

Sometimes support doesn’t get back to me. I don’t know if I am on a denylist due to the number of issues I have had.
Neighbors
I have noticed that a lot of my neighbors have some permanent outdoor lighting, the kind you don’t need to take down, if you catch my drift.
- Trim light
- Jelly Fish
- Other brands
I have four neighbors (that I know of) who have Everlights. I know three of them were self-installed, and one had them come out and install the lights.
Self-install people
- One has had issues with one or two lights not turning off.
- Has had it for 4 years as well
- The other two are not sure; they have only had them for like a year
Everlight installed
- They had issues the first year.
Usage
My wife is like, “Justin, why do we have to use these every day?” I got these lights to use every freaking day. This is what I wanted to do. These lights aren’t just for Christmas time. You can have lights at different times of the year.
- New Year’s Day
- Birthday’s
- Sports teams
- St. Patties day
- Veterans Day
- Fourth of July
- May the fourth
- Halloween
- Thanksgiving
- Cancer months
- Other days you want to use them
When the lights are working, I use them every day. I made a deal with my wife, I will use this setting during the summer months. They are either night lights.

Or some lighting I like.

I got them to use them.
But when they don’t work, I can’t use them.
Unless there is a birthday or another event that calls for a different lighting sequence.
Happy
For the most part, I am happy with them; they do what I need. However, I would like them to have fewer issues. I would love to know that my lights are working and arrive home to find that they are not. They are different sequences, or only one is working.
But overall, I am happy. Just not really super happy.
